The big one is looming on the horizon, and it’s a little bit terrifying.
In 14 days and 14 hours I will set out to run 160 Kilometers in 1 day, 1 day meaning 24 hours.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. It’s actually quite a daunting undertaking. Partly my own fault, partly because it’s just a really big distance.
My training has not been on point in August. Maybe it was the vacation. Maybe it’s just general tiredness. Maybe it’s COVID-19 exhaustion. Maybe I just haven’t been trying hard enough. But I have not being doing my best training.
I’m still excited to try. I’m sure I can do it, it just may take a while.
So here goes the home stretch, two weeks and two days until the end…
If anyone is interested in running a loop of the 160K with me, please let me know. I welcome the company. I will likely be walking at distances over 100K, with very little running, but I’m funny when I’m tired and hungry!!
